COPING POSITIVELY DURING LOCKDOWN

LOCKDOWN, a situation in which movement of people is completely restricted except for emergency purposes

Does it mean that working class/students are being crippled? Is it so that learned professionals/ learning individuals have started to feel that they are slowly going to be less productive and have started doubting on their talents?

Yes. This is being expressed by a number of professionals and also the students. It is very difficult for oneself to confine in a different environment (different from an office/ educational institution), and forced to work/ or studyalone from there to which one is not habituated to translate one’s knowledge and talent into a useful product or service.This becomes an added pressure and can contribute in affecting one’s mental well-being leading to anxiety, panic attacks and depression which in turn result in national loss of human resource.Such loss does be minimised to whatever extend one can.

Here are some strategies for the working professionals/students to cope up with anxiety/ depression due to working from different environment during Covid-19

  • to refresh mindset with faith and positivity- this will certainly contribute to come out of mental moribund and to steer the intellect in productive channel
  • rephrasing self-doubts like-
  • Use of positive statements, assuring oneself that they are full of capabilities and their talent will find a right path.
  • Using the limited resources in creative learning and introspecting one’s talent.
