The Barefoot Counselling course
is a skill-based, community approach, three modular programmes which will
provide you with a basic understanding of emotional well-being and
psycho-social support. The course will cover three major areas of micro-skills of counselling, self-care and resilience,
and community well-being. The programme will offer a unique combination
of didactic and practical training with different exercises.

counsellors for the management of psychological distress.

Participant:
The course is open to all
individuals and may include –

welfare and disaster management,

to address mental health and wellbeing challenges in the community.
Eligibility:
The participants need not have
prior qualifications in psychology or mental health but need to have basic
knowledge of
English. The course will act as a value addition to one’s prior education,
skills, experience, and profession.
