A DSS
with additional screening of mental health delays was developed among children
in Anganwadi Centres between 0 to 6 years and children from 100 Anganwadi
centres were screened. The DSS developed has not only been effective in
identifying children with developmental delays but also acted as a sensitive
indicator to identify probable developmental disorders that the child may be
afflicted in future.
