Dr. Bhalla is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, holding a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree as well as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Community Medicine. In his current roles, Dr. Bhalla serves as the Associate Vice President-Projects at ECHO India, overseeing overall health operations and the expansion of the ECHO model.
